Bollywood Rangoli:

Indian movies are celebrated in many countries, including India. One popular way to celebrate is by drawing a Bollywood-themed pattern on your doorway or wall using colorful chalk powder. You could create a heart-shaped border with a young pair of lovers surrounded by patterns representing their families and then use black ink or charcoal to draw in their clothing and jewelry. Or you could simply write Hindi words for movies and music inside two overlapping squares. After stepping back to admire your work, sprinkle some water over it to make sure it doesn’t blow away! The rain will wash away any excess powder so that you can enjoy your design as long as possible. It’s an easy, fun way to show your love for Bollywood films.

Simple Pattern Rangoli Designs:

When you’re short on time and your vision isn’t what it used to be, make a design that only involves a few intricate elements. There are no hard-and-fast rules to follow when designing patterned rangolis. As long as you stay within your pre-set parameters (e.g., circles in square areas) your skills will shine through regardless of how straight or crooked lines maybe! Here is one of our favorite super-simple patterned designs: The best part about creating your pattern is that once you have it down, you can replicate it each year and see just how far you’ve come! You can use traditional colors like yellow and red or opt for new shades like pink and turquoise.

Floral Rangoli Patterns:

Here are some Indian patterns that can be drawn on floors or tabletops. Apart from Diwali, most festivals in India have floor-based art forms for their celebrations. The basic design is a square made of colored powder and all these different patterns combine to make attractive pictures. I like flowers myself, so here are my favorite flower Rangolis, including Tulips, Mysore Petals, and three Flowers. You can play with color here because they’re traditionally very brightly colored: reds, blues, and greens predominate, but you could use other colors if you like. Happy Holi! Or as we say in India: KHELO RE SAATHI! (Play Together!).

The Kajri Mandala has its origins in a form of poetry known as ‘Kajri’ which originated in Uttar Pradesh, North India. It was originally performed by nomadic singers who would sing epic tales whilst performing physical acrobatics. Today it is popularly sung during weddings and religious ceremonies throughout North India. In its most basic form, it involves an eight-pointed star decorated with smaller dots and interlinking squares surrounded by intricate floral patterns.

If you want to try your hand at something more complicated then check out our Rose Rangoli Pattern below which combines two interesting techniques; zentangle style doodling and beautiful floral patterning creating an intricate yet stunning work of art ideal for any room or celebration room setting.

The Mysore Petal Rangoli is one of my personal favorites. It incorporates a modern take on traditional Indian floor-based artwork by incorporating Mysore Petals into a geometric design that is still entirely based on Indian aesthetics. Like all good modern art, it can be interpreted in different ways, depending on what colors you choose, but I think it looks best in yellow, blue, and red which I’ve used here.

Diwali Rangoli Designs:

Once again, Diwali is just around the corner. So it’s about time we start with making those elaborate Rangolis. No one can deny that Rangoli-making has become a ritual of sorts, especially for women. It is believed that on seeing someone’s neatly crafted Rangoli during Diwali, Lakshmi (goddess of wealth) showers her blessings on that home and its residents. Seeing how big these artworks have become in recent years, people are not just content with making them inside their homes but outside as well – to welcome guests or anyone who might be visiting your place.

Colourful patterns & abstract motifs:

India’s most popular method of decorating floors and walls has a long history. Rangoli – also known as kolam – refers to an artistic design composed of rice powder, dry colors, flowers, or coins made on a floor (or ground) with chalk or charcoal. This tradition was once an integral part of weddings and festivals in India. Before motorized mixing tools came along, colors were mixed by hand to achieve subtle shades. A little bit of ingenuity and imagination are all you need for creating beautiful patterns for your home décor.

Rangolis are representative of Indian culture. They are not only colorful and artful but also symbolic in their decoration. Each pattern has a deep meaning behind it. The Geometric pattern is one such design that symbolizes good fortune and prosperity to its onlookers. This type of rangoli can be made easily with white-colored powders or dry colors. Easy Peasy Patterns:

Top trending rangoli designs are a classic Indian art form that dates back to medieval times. It translates literally as scented powder and was originally applied to flooring in houses. Over time, Indians evolved and modernized their way of life, and today, rangolis are primarily used on houses’ front doors during festivals. The patterns can vary but most frequently incorporate simple geometric shapes such as circles or squares.
